I'm at the ELCA Churchwide Assembly this week in New Orleans, LA. As I type this, we're in the midst of the orientation session for newbies like me. So far, it doesn't look like anything different from a typical Synod Assembly, just bigger.
Anyhow, my plan is to do a daily update here on the sermon blog for each day of the assembly. Since our day is just beginning, this post will serve as an introduction to this series.
